Cbank says capital gap of Moscow’s bank Arsenal at 72.7 mln rbl
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) -- The gap between assets and liabilities of Moscow-based commercial bank Arsenal, ranked 495th by assets as of September 1 amounted to 72.682 million rubles, the central bank said in a statement on Thursday.
The bank’s assets amount to 457.193 million rubles, while liabilities stand at 529.875 million rubles.
Arsenal lost its license on September 21 as did not comply with banking regulations, including money laundering and financing terrorism laws. The bank was also involved in dubious transit operations, had a risky business model, and posed a real threat to interests of its creditors and depositors.
The bank is a member of the deposit insurance system, which means that each depositor may receive up to 1.4 million rubles in compensation. The Deposit Insurance Agency said in October that 278 million rubles are to be paid to Arsenal’s depositors.
